Picard Wallonia

Picard Wallonia

Picard Wallonia is a region where the satisfaction of good eating is second nature. It is one of the richest regions for local production and numerous restaurants offer dishes based on local products: the strawberries from Lesdain, apples and pears from the Brunehaut orchards, spirits, foie gras, poultry, fine cheese… Moreover, it is a region where the Slow Food movement, defending healthy balanced foods obtained as close as possible to the consumer, is deeply rooted. From a cheerful, unbelievable concentration of restaurants in the historical center of Tournai to the gastronomical table of the Castle of Mylord (two Michelin stars). Also worth mentioning is the very large number of gourmet addresses well-anchored in their region. Picard Wallonia truly has something to offer as for genuine gastronomy.

With a multitude of cafés and bars in the cities and villages, spirit producers renowned in the whole country and as many as fourteen traditional breweries (producers of the Bush, Cuvée des Trolls, Moinette, Quintine, Brunehaut, Bon-Secours,...), the region really has everything needed to pamper its visitors.
